My story

From personal experience to structured support for parents

Alisa is the second child in our family. She was born on time, the pregnancy went wonderfully and the birth was easy. Alisa scored 9 on the Apgar scale.

Until the age of two, Alisa developed like any typical child. But at around two, one question began to worry me: “Why isn’t she talking?”

I had a clear example in front of me - my older daughter, who was already speaking in sentences at that age.

I started seeing different specialists, but almost everywhere I heard the same thing: “Just wait, she’ll start talking.”

That was the beginning of my long search for the “magic pill”. I’ll say just one thing: there are probably few nootropic drugs we didn’t try.

At the same time, I was looking for a specialist who could help us. That turned out to be even harder. Simply getting Alisa to engage, interest her, motivate her, sit her down at a table - all of it was extremely difficult. Many “super-specialists” who promised everything just put us on what I now understand was a “non-existent” waiting list after the consultation.

My search went on for almost four more years. Four years that took away the most precious thing I had - time.

This is probably one of the hardest things parents go through when they come face to face with a diagnosis like autism. Sometimes it felt like a dream I would soon wake up from. The journey started with denial, then came acceptance, and then the fight.

By then I understood one thing for certain: no one can help my child the way I can help her myself.

One day, on an acquaintance’s Instagram, I saw a post that caught my attention immediately: “ABA therapist”. I felt I had to read it.

I signed up for training. After the very first module I knew: “THIS IS IT.” What I had been searching for so long. The light at the end of the tunnel.

I didn’t stop: a second module, then hands-on training. My learning continues today - in this profession you can never say “I know everything now”.

But the most important moment came when I was able - ABLE - to motivate my own daughter to learn. My child, who was always jumping around, couldn’t sit still for a minute and wasn’t talking, began happily sitting down at the table to practice.

We started with the simplest, most basic skills. Gradually we moved on to letters, numbers and shapes, and later to reading and counting. Learning continues today. But we made a huge breakthrough.

My life changed.

I realized I wanted to help not only my own child but other children and their families too. That is how the idea of the first ABA therapy and learning center in Mykolaiv was born.

A pharmacist with a psychology degree - sounds unusual, doesn’t it? But it is exactly this combination of medical knowledge and understanding of the human mind that has helped me understand people far more deeply - our behavior and the reasons behind what we do.

In recent years I have completed more than 25 training courses and earned international certificates in various areas of psychology. But my true breakthrough discovery was applied behavior analysis.

For me it is no longer just a profession. It is part of my life. And I want to share this knowledge with you - to give you practical tools that are especially effective for teaching and developing children with special educational needs.

My approach

What the learning is built on

Not on one-size-fits-all promises, but on observation, consistency, regular practice and respect for each child’s needs.

01

Measurable steps

A big goal is broken down into specific skills you can observe, practice and gradually make more complex.

02

Respect for the child

Safety, dignity, the right to a break, clear communication and no coercion.

03

Skills for life

What matters is that the child uses the skill at home, at school and elsewhere - not only during the session.
